Family Game last Saturday. My son Carl was DM playing Castles and Crusades. Around the table was my grandson Conner playing a thief, my son Kier playing a fighter, I was a dwarven cleric, my Foster grandson, Simon, played a wizard, and my Foster grandnephew, Luke, played a wizard.
Game highlights. My big hammer. The fighter communicated mostly in grunts. The wizard's hunger for spell scrolls and books, sometimes becoming dangerous like when we were fighting a giant statue come to life while the wizards perused the bookshelves. The Old Sage, an NPC that directed us on the quest in the greatest of all old sage voices (Carl was a theater major). And, of course, the teleportation orb that sent us to a room without doors.Family Game last Saturday. My son Carl was DM playing Castles and Crusades.
